-Boa Constrictor/Imperator-

Guyana Boa constrictor red tail

For those new to the hobby, allow us to help clarify the difference between "True" Red Tail Boas (BC/BCC) and "Common" Red Tail Boas (BI/BCI). Generally, BC are indigenous to South American countries like Brazil, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and others. Each has their own distinct look and the signature "red tail". Generally, these animals do not have "morphs", and you will be hard pressed to find BC enthusiasts who want any ;) BC grow longer than their BI cousins on average. 9 times out of 10 when you hear about "color morphs" (aka albino, pastel, coral albino, sunglow, etc) they will be referring to BI boas (both Colombian and Central American). Generally, these boas are heftier than their BC counterparts, but they are easier to breed and have a wide array of available color and pattern mutations.  To see our current pairings and their progress, Click Here!
